Ms. Mary L. Collins, 83, of 115 Southfield Drive, Plymouth, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastern North Carolina and Virginia Assembly, Roper with Elder Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Memorial Gardens, Roper.
Ms. Collins was born in Washington County on Nov. 29, 1919. She was the daughter of the late William and Pattie Norman Collins. She was a retired facilities technician with Georgia Pacific. She was a member of Spring Green Women's Club. She was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ.
Survivors include six daughters, Eunice Purkett, Helen McNair, Pattie Davenport, Aristeen Moore and Carol Spruill, all of Plymouth, and Ann MacKall of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sons, Willis Collins, Wallace Collins, William Collins and Gaston Collins; 44 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Cornelius, Danny and Johnny.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Spring Green Church of Christ, Plymouth.
