Ms. Loraine House Rogerson, 83, of 3811 Blount Circle, Bethel, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Ms. Rogerson was born in Robesonville on Nov. 4, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Phillip House and Lola Moore House. She was married to Mack Gilbert Rogerson, who preceded her in death. She taught school at Chowan High School and retired from North Pitt High School after completing 30 years of service. She was a member of the Book Club, Bridge Club, Edenton and Bethel Women’s Circle and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a WMU member.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Rogerson of Greenville and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home.
