Mrs. Doreatha Elizabeth Moore, 60, of 1421 Core Point Road, Blounts Creek, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Sunday in Aurora Middle School gymnasium with Bishop Larry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the John D. Moore family cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born in Beaufort County on Oct. 17, 1946. She was the daughter of the late John D. Moore Sr. and Almetia Keyes Moore. She was a graduate of the former S.W. Snowden High School. She was married to Jessie Moore, who survives. She was employed with Stanadyne Corp. for several years.
Survivors include one daughter, Paulette Murphy of Greensboro; one son, Burgess Moore of Blounts Creek; one grandchild; and siblings, Bishop Larry Moore of Fayetteville, Elder Rufus Moore of Chocowinity, David Moore Jr., Lindsey Moore, Jasper Moore, Bradford Moore, Blounts Creek; Armental M. Crawford of Elizabeth City, Nettie Moore, Joyce Reid and Shirlee Moore.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Moore.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home.
