Mrs. Doris Long, age 94, died February 12, 2007, at The General Hospital in Southampton, England.
Funeral services and interment will be held Feb. 26 in Southampton, England.
Mrs. Long was born September 13, 1912 in Shirley, Southampton, England. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Leonard Long, of 56 years in 1985.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth Long and Raymond Long of Southampton, England; and one daughter, Sheila Swindell and husband Wallace of 17 Old Fort Shores Road, Chocowinity; grandson, Robert Beavers of San Antonio, TX, granddaughters, Julie Beavers of Cary, Pamela Ward and husband Brian of Chocowinity, and Wendy Beavers of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; and one great-grandson, Brian Rayn Ward of Chocowinity.
In England are four more grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Long was known for her beautiful flower garden. She was a great mother and grandmother and will be treasured forever.
