Mildred Moore Barber, 82, of 1482 Fred Hardison Road, Williamston, died March 31, 2007 at her home.
She was a homemaker. She was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Martin County to James Kelly Moore and Rosa Webb Moore. She was a member of Reddick’s Grove Baptist Church.
On Dec. 6, 1941 she married Clyde Barber who died Dec. 30, 1992. She is survived by daughters Lizzie Irene Biddlecome of Williamston and Alice Faye Lewis of Bethal; sons Clyde Melvin Barber and Larry Bembridge of Williamston; sisters Ellen L. Butler of Newport News, Va., Louis Green of Hampton, Va. and Mamie C. Shumacker of Saltsville, Va.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Biggs Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Riley officiating. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
