Mr. Sidney Douglas Midgett, 83, of 506 Rowsom St., Columbia, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Plumblee Nursing Home, Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Zion Grove Church of Christ, Columbia, with Elder Rodney Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Midgett was born in Tyrrell County on July 10, 1923. He was the son of the late Charlie and Martha Midgett. He was married to Viola F. Midgett, who survives. He had been employed as a truck driver.
Survivors include one daughter, Stassen Charity of Columbia; and one grandchild.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
