Mr. James Luther Sutton, 58, of Ernul, died Thursday, May 3, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
Mr. Sutton was the son of Martin Luther and Daisy Sutton. He was a graduate of Farm Life High School. He spent his working life engaged in farming, logging and operating heavy equipment.
Survivors include one daughter, Crystal S. Swindell of Ernul; two grandchildren; one sister, Linda Jones of Ernul and one brother, William Earl Sutton of Ernul.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Lee Sutton in 2001.
