HURDLE MILLS — Foy Mae Horton Whitfield age 80 died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Durham Regional Hospital. She was born in Person Co. to the late Aldean Wilson Horton and Minnie Whitfield Horton. Mrs. Whitfield was wife of the late Robert Owen Whitfield. She was predeceased by her son Bruce Stanley Whitfield and two brothers; J.B. Horton &Earl Horton.
She was a graduate of Roxboro High School and partner in Bob’s Aerial Aviation Business with her late husband.
Surviving are three children, Robert Owen, (Bobby) Whitfield, Jr. wife (Gail) of Roxboro, Timothy Dean Whitfield wife (Paula) of Fairfield, and Betty Sue Moore husband (Jerry) of Roxboro; Eight grandchildren; Robert Owen “Robbie” Whitfield, III, Jason Whitfield Moore, Michael Brian Whitfield, Kyle Lee Moore, William Allen “Billy” Whitfield, Jonathan Corey Whitfield, Amelia Rae Whitfield and Kevin Wayne Brann. Three brothers: Elbert, Thomas &Coy Horton all of Timberlake.
The funeral service will be May 13, 2007, 3 p.m. Sunday at the Brooks &White Chapel. Burial will be in the Clement Baptist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends May 12, 2007 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Sat. at the Brooks &White Funeral Home.
