Mr. Jay Cee Bryant Sr., 65, of Riverhead, N.Y., and formerly of Aurora, died Monday, June 4, 2007, in New York.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Crusade Deliverance Ministry with Apostle Betty Vines officiating. Burial will follow in Grimes Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born in Beaufort County on June 2, 1942. He was the son of Ina Grimes Bryant and the late Namon Bryant Jr. He attended the Beaufort County Schools.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony Bryant and Jay Cee Bryant Jr., both of Alabama; two daughters, Brenda Bryant and Kawanis Bryant, both of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Frankie Bryant of Aurora, and William Bryant of Atlanta, Ga.; and one sister, Sophia Bryant of Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sophia Bryant-Floyd and Shirley Bryant and two brothers, Noah Bryant and John Bryant.
A walk-in viewing will be held Sunday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home.
