Mrs. Mary “Mae” Alice Cole Stokesbury, 93, died Sept. 12, 2006, in Palm Harbor, Fla.
A memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Stokesbury was born Aug. 4, 1913. She had been employed as a seamstress and later as a nurse, working at Rahway Memorial Hospital. She was married to Walter Stokesbury, who preceded her in death. She had been a longtime resident of Bayview.
Survivors include one sister, Rita Reid; one daughter, Kathleen “Lonnie” S. Girard; one son, Richard Stokesbury and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
