Thelma Jean Griffin, 61, of 1255 Cowell Farm Rd., Washington, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at ICU, Beaufort County Hospital.
Ms. Griffin was born on March 28, 1946 in Washington, NC. She was the daughter of the late Jimmie and Thelma Griffin of Cherry Run Road, Beaufort County, NC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Griffin, Jr. and Sidney Earl Griffin of Beaufort County.
Survivors include her children Angela Buck Moore and Kyle Edward West Jr. of Beaufort County. Four grandchildren: John Bryan “Butch” Moore, Griffin Paul Moore, Gotha Douglas Banks, and Christopher Eric West; one brother James D. (Pete) Griffin, Oak Island, NC and three sisters, Dapherine G. Boyd, Beaufort County, NC, Verlie G. Singleton, Grimesland, NC, and Josephine G. Parker, High Point, NC.
A memorial service will be held at Snowd Branch Church of God, VOA Road, Beaufort County, NC on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. Additional information may be obtained from Verlie G. Singleton at 433 Tucker Rd., Grimesland, NC.
