Mrs. Velma Nicholson Everett, 78, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Plumblee Nursing Center, Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Plymouth, with Terry Jones and Bob Moulden officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Everett was born in Pitt County on May 9, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Connie Bennett Nicholson. She was married to Henry C. Everett, who preceded her in death. She worked as a clerk with Womble Drug Company until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Plymouth.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann E. Cody of Plymouth; one brother, Billy B. Nicholson of Plymouth, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Henry C. Everett Jr.; three sisters, Lucille Baker, Doris Carter and Myrtle Braton and three brothers, William Nicholson, Douglas Nicholson and Milton Nicholson.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, Plymouth, and other times at the home of her daughter.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
