Mrs. Robena Gibbs Weston, 76, of 338 Scrougetown Road, Engelhard, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Pungo District Hospital, Belhaven.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Engelhard, with minister Micheal Weston officiating. Burial will follow in Adna Addison Brown Memorial Cemetery, Goshen Road, Engelhard.
Mrs. Weston was born in Hyde County on April 25, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Kenny and Maggie Gibbs. She was married to Olain W. Weston, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an evangelist.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Weston-Spencer of Engelhard, and Belinda Weston Selby of Plymouth; five sons, Willie Albert Weston of Lewis, Del., Donnie Weston and Donald Weston, both of Plymouth, Micheal Weston of Butner and Larry Weston of Engelhard; one brother, Willie Albert Gibbs of Bridgeville, Del.; 31 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
