Mrs. Mariam Grimes Coltrain, 80, of Williamston, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Tarboro.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. David Wyly officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Coltrain worked as a nutritionist with the Martin County Cooperative Extension Service. On Jan. 4, 1947, she married Jesse Bazemore, who preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1966. She later married Ottis Coltrain, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of Williamston Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Phil Bazemore of Pactolus, and Larry Bazemore of Williamston; three sisters, Sue Taylor, Sarah White and Helen G. Jones, all of Williamston; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Peel and one brother, Steven “Buck” Grimes.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, Larry Bazemore, 2059 Piney Grove Church Road, Williamston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Williamston Presbyterian Church.
