Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth Harrison Waters, age 78, of 16330 N.C. Hwy. 32 N., Pinetown, died Monday, August 13, 2007, at Pitt Co. Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Waters was born in Washington Co. on June 12, 1929, daughter of the late Newsome H. and Rhoda Cutler Harrison. On January 11, 1947, she married David Warren Waters, who survives. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for their family business David Waters Inc. She was a member of the Pinetown Church of Christ, Belhaven Garden Club and the Beaufort Co. Home Demonstration Club. She was very proud of her yard and flower garden, enjoyed fishing with a cane pole and loved her puppy, Patches very much.
Survivors include her husband David of the home, one daughter; Candy Jones of Pinetown, one son; Lloyd Norman Waters, Sr. of Pinetown, two brothers; Leon “Dick” Harrison of Greenville, T.T. “Snoot” Harrison of Wilmington, two grandchildren; Lloyd Norman Waters Jr., David Forrest Walker and two great grandchildren; Megan Hope Waters and Lloyd Norman Waters III.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Pinetown Rescue Squad and EMS, P.O. Box 69, Pinetown, NC 27865.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
