Ms. Jessica Dawn Huffman, age 21, of 557 Cemetery Rd., Belhaven, died Sunday, August 26, 2007.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Shepard. Burial will follow in the Ryder Hill Cemetery. Bonner Sawyer, Timothy Sawyer, Jonathan Sawyer, Bryan Sawyer, Nick Lindsey and Larry Lindsey will serve as pallbearers.
Jessica was born in Onslow Co. on April 25, 1986, to Garry and Teresa Sawyer Huffman, who survive her. She was a 2004 graduate of Northside High School, a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, was in her senior year of college and was enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Program at Cape Fear Community College of Wilmington. She had played soccer since she was 8 years old, loved animals, loved Nascar, was a huge Tony Stewart fan and, most of all, she loved the beach.
Survivors are her parents of the home; one sister, Danielle Elizabeth Huffman of the home; her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ruth Sawyer of Belhaven and her paternal grandmother, Eleanor James Cieliesz of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ira Bonner Sawyer and her paternal grandfather, Stacy Spencer Huffman.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home, 557 Cemetery Rd., Belhaven.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3861 Richlands Hwy., Jacksonville, NC 28540.
