Thomas Pollard Darracott, Jr., age 80, a resident of 2437 Trent Street, North Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.
Mr. Darracott was the son of the late Thomas Pollard Darracott and Lillian Vernon Stewart Darracott. He graduated from Washington High School and the Citadel and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal and the WW II Victory Medal. He was organist for the Christian Science Church in Charleston, SC for a period of time.
Survivors include Betty Stewart and L. Stewart Rumley of Washington; Julie Rumley Hill of Greensboro, NC; Paul, Charles and Lawrence Davenport of Pactolus. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Darracott.
At Mr. Darracott’s request, there will be no flowers or contributions.
