Mrs. Patsy Ree Porter Burrow, age 66, of 479 Hodges Rd., Chocowinity, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Beaufort Co. Hospital from a brief illness.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2007, at the Providence Church Cemetery located on the corner of Hwy. 33 E. and Dixon Rd. in Chocowinity and will be conducted by Mr. Ola Forbes. Michael Alligood, Chris Edwards, Steven Manning, Arick Bullock, Larry Howard and Little Larry Howard Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Patsy was born in Beaufort Co. on March 9, 1941, to the late Willie and Lucy Carson Porter and on October 31, 1984, she married Jerry Wayne Burrow who survives. She was employed by Singer Furniture Co. in Chocowinity for 9 years and attended Chocowinity United Methodist Church. Patsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Jerry and grandson Arick Bullock of the home, four daughters: Diane Lilley and husband William of Chocowinity, Donna Edwards of Washington, Janet Jones and husband Jimmy of Chocowinity, Sherry Bullock Hawkins of Pantego, one son: Donald “Pete” Bullock and wife Ronnie of Gates, two sisters; Doris Bright of Chocowinity, Audrey Porter Cherry of Grimesland, two brothers: William Earl Porter and David Ray Porter, both of Chocowinity, a brother- in-law: Jimmy Howard Burrow of Harrisburg, Ariz., 8 grandchildren: Crystal Lilley Paul, Jennifer Barber, Steven Manning, Chris Edward, Michael Alligood, Kendra McGowan, Lynnsey Bullock and Arick Bullock, 2 great-grandchildren, Jada Gaynor and Kaleb Barber. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Lester Porter and James Porter.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home of William and Diane Lilley, 2304 Possum Track Rd., Chocowinity.
