Mrs. Georgia Rouse Wright, age 77, a resident of Washington and formerly of 8201 Fernwood Drive, Norfolk, VA died Saturday, September 8, 2007.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at South Creek Baptist Church Cemetery and will be conducted by Pastor Stewart LaNeave. Herbert Betts, Glenn Betts, Justin Cox, Orin Mayo, Daniel Mayo and Timmy Mayo will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wright was born in Belhaven on August 25, 1930 to the late George and Nellie Harris Rouse Hunnings. She married William F. Wright, Jr. who preceded her in death on January 15, 2006. She was a longtime resident of Third Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, VA where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Monday Night Ladies Circle. Mrs. Wright was retired from the insurance profession.
Survivors include one sister: Roberta H. Betts and husband Herbert of South Creek, one nephew: Glenn Betts of South Creek, one niece: Sheryl Cox and husband Danny of Blounts Creek and several great nephews.
The family will receive friends at the home of Herbert and Roberta Betts, 107 Mill Rd., Aurora, NC 27806.
