James Morgan “Frog” Leggett, age 68, of 2231 Wharton Station Rd., Washington, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Pitt Co. Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Snowd Branch Church of God and will be conducted by Pastor Gary Thompson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ed Dixon, Tommy Lilley, Joe Knox, Rick Brann, Herbie Heath, Bud Bennett, Troy Ball and Dale Everett will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Leggett was born in Beaufort Co. on March 2, 1939 to the late Samuel and Beatrice Roberson Leggett and on January 6, 1962, he married Peggy Allen Jenkins who survives. He was a graduate of Washington High School, was once employed at Flanders Filters, was a member of the Snowd Branch Church of God, Snowd Branch Men’s Fellowship, Horse Pen Swamp Hunt Club and the Cow Pen Hunt Club.
Survivors include his wife of the home, one son: Timothy Allen Leggett and his wife Gina of Washington and one brother: Sammy R. Leggett and his wife Barbara of Washington.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Snowd Branch Church of God and other times at the home of Timothy Leggett, 191 Belgian Lane, Washington, NC 27889.
