REELSBORO — James William Hodges, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at his home.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home chapel, Alliance, with the Rev. Seth Jones officiating.
Mr. Hodges was a retired barber. He had been active with the New Bern Fire Department and Rescue. He attended Reelsboro Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Dixon Hodges; two sons, Pete Hodges of Reelsboro and Billy Hodges of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Sandra Malkin of Charlotte; four brothers, Albert Hodges of Wisconsin, Garland Hodges of Milwaukee, Wis., Randy Hodges of North Carolina and Linberg Hodges of Virginia; three sisters, Novella Barnes of Virginia, Viola Pierce of North Carolina, and Helen Martikke of Chocowinity; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home &Cremations in Alliance.
