Mr. Matthew Ryan “Matt” Cherry, age 21, a resident of 2600 Chadwick Road, Marietta, GA, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 as a result of injuries received during a robbery.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2007 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington officiated by the Rev. Marty Hager.
Matt was born in San Antonio, TX on March 8, 1986, son of Edwin and Brenda Eby Cherry. He was a 2004 graduate of Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA and had continued his education at Kennesaw State University in Marietta. Matt was an assistant manager of the Game Stop in Marietta.
Surviving along with Matt’s parents of Marietta is a sister: Katie Cherry of Marietta; maternal grandparents: Ray Eby of Charlotte and Yvonne Fralick of Adairsville, GA; paternal grandfather: Jack Cherry of Florence, SC and Matt’s life partner: Bradley Gordon of Marietta. Matt was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Jessie W. Cherry.
