Mark Richard Ramsey, 45, a resident of Sanford, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Ramsey was born in Akron, Ohio, on February, 19, 1962. He was the son of the late Richard R. Ramsey and Carole Ramsey, who survives. He attended Sanderson High School in Raleigh. Mr. Ramsey served several years in the United States Navy. After serving his country he became a licensed general contractor and was a carpenter by trade.
Mr. Ramsey is survived by his mother, Carole Ramsey of Belhaven; a sister Julie A. Ramsey of New Bern, N.C.; three brothers, Paul R. Ramsey of Tucson, Arizona; John H. Ramsey of Cary, N.C.; and Scott W. Ramsey of Durham, N.C.; his beloved aunt Jeanne Hurlbut of Rolesville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
