Mrs. Carolyn Bess Rose, 64, of Grifton, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Farmer Funeral Service, Ayden. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Estates, Grifton.
Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Jordan and Agnes Bess and stepfather, Johnnie Lee Walls. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grifton. She was an avid shopper and loved listening to Elvis Presley music. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Grifton, NC 28530.
Survived by her husband of 45 years, Edward Rose, of the home; daughter: Melissa Rose Rhodes and husband, Russell of Kinston; brothers: Tommy Best and wife, Billie, of New Bern, Bobby Walls and wife, Lois, of Anderson, S.C., Larry Walls and wife, Jill, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; sisters: Virginia Spring and husband, Joe, of New Bern, Beatrice Sanderfer and husband, Sandy, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; one grandson: Harper Rhodes.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 7-9 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Service, Ayden.
