Mrs. Hilda Hollis Bright, age 78, of 10863 NC Hwy. 32 N. Washington, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and will be conducted by Derik Davis. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Rafael Perez, Thomas Perez, Jeffrey Woolard, Gary Hollis and Swindell Braddy will serve as pallbearers. Alfonso Boyd will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Bright was born October 20, 1929 to the late Harvey and Plum Woolard Hollis. On June 8, 1946, she married Heber T. Bright, who preceded her in death on November 29, 1986. She was a member of Zion Episcopal Church and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Barbara Boyd of Washington, Janice Woolard of Washington, 1 son: Danny Bright and wife Lou of Washington, 1 brother: Bonner Hollis and wife Doris of Chocowinity, 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home.
