Mrs. Marsha Lee King Waters, 75, a resident of Britthaven of Washington, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at Britthaven of Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in The Temple of Jesus Christ United Church, Washington, with minister Michael Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Waters was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 20, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Timothy and Ethel Chapman King. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She had been employed with the former Washington Cleaners. She was a member of Holly Grove Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Belhaven, where she served as an usher.
Survivors include two daughters, Emma W. Randall of Winterville and Carolane Waters of Plymouth; five sons, Ernest Sherman Waters of Washington, Harold Bonner Waters of Garner, Ray Charles Waters of Chocowinity, Robert Waters of Greenville and Franklin Waters of Winterville; five sisters, Ruth Windley of Chocowinity, Corena Columbus and Thelma Brown, both of Washington, Elise Jenkins of Wilmington and Lorena Allen of New Haven, Conn.; two brothers, Butler King of Washington and Walter King of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary King and one brother, Hilard King.
The family will receive friends today from 6-7 p.m. at Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, and other times at the home of her daughter, Emma Randall, 4909 Old Tar Road, Winterville.
