Mr. Harvey Edward Brickhouse Sr., 67, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A memorial service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden officiating.
Mr. Brickhouse was born in Tyrrell County on Sept. 23, 1930. He was the son of the late Charlie E. and Gladys Godwin Brickhouse. He was married to Viola Moore Brickhouse, who survives. He was a retired recycled fiber machine operator with Weyerhaeuser Corporation. He was past secretary of the Central Labor Union and member of United Papermakers Union. He was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, April B. Mizelle of Jamesville; one son, James A. Brickhouse of Roper; one sister, Dora B. Everett of Roper; two brothers, Harley W. Brickhouse of Maryville, Tenn., and James B. Brickhouse of Kitty Hawk; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harvey “Eddy” Brickhouse Jr. and two sisters, Evelyn B. Sexton and Vadis B. Twiddy.
The family will receive friends today at Plymouth Church of Christ following the memorial service.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
