Dr. Robert Lee Hartsell, 82, of 102 Martin Avenue, Williamston, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Goebel officiating. A private burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Kinston.
Dr. Hartsell was born Jan. 17, 1925, son of the late Henry Vernon Hartsell and the late Lucy Andrews Hartsell. He was a retired optometrist, having worked for 45 years. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Hodge Hartsell; one son, James Lee Hartsell of LaGrange and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
