Mrs. Evelyn Jo Roberson, 71, of 2532 Slatestone Road, Washington, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A memorial service will be held today at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Price officiating.
Mrs. Roberson was born in Montgomery, Ala., on Aug. 6, 1936. She was a retired elementary school teacher. In August 2004, she married Jayhew Roberson, who survives. She was a member of First Christian Church of the Emmaus community.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Esquivel of Miami, Fla., and Ellen Boblitt of California; one sister, Brenda Ellis of Orlando, Fla.; and two stepchildren, Joseph Roberson of Binghamton, N.Y., and Jonita Dixon of Washington.
The family will receive friends today at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, following the memorial service and other times at the home.
