Mr. Grant Allen Williams, 20, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A celebration of Mr. Williams’ life will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home &Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.
Mr. Williams was born in Solano County, Calif., on Nov. 12, 1987. He was the son of Keith Allen Williams of Washington and Vicki Williams-Underwood of Goldsboro. He was a 2006 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. He had just finished his placement exam with the Army, where he placed as entering the service as an officer. He was employed with Clean Sweep Lawn Care.
Survivors include stepfather, Tom Underwood of Goldsboro; stepmother, Mary Beth Williams of Washington; two sisters, Kaitlyn M. Williams of Washington and Cheryl Koger of Goldsboro and one stepbrother, Stuart Sorrell of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his maternal stepgrandfather, Jack Weiler.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at Howell Funeral Home &Crematory in Goldsboro following the celebration of Mr. Williams’ life.
