Mr. Burnace R. Ausbon, 67, died Sunday, March 2, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Cherry Run Road. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ausbon was the son of the late Lee Roy and Mary Bailey Ausbon. He was a Beaufort County native and a lifelong resident of the Leggetts Crossroads community. After serving in the Air Force, he was employed with the Department of Agriculture for more than 35 years as an inspector. For the last 15 years, he worked at the Farmers Market in Raleigh as its assistant manager. For the past six years, he had been a Beaufort County resident and a member of the Bear Grass Ruritan Club. He attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Alton Ausbon and Steve Ausbon, both of Greenville, and Wayne Ausbon of Capron, Va.; and one sister, Sadie Gurkin of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James R. Ausbon and three sisters, Mary Wheatcraft, Lillie Fulford and Shirley Revels.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville.
