Mr. Lynwood Earl Woolard, age 66, of 1669 Slatestone Rd., Washington, died Saturday, March 8, 2008.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor James Green. Todd Moore, Benjamin Knox, Jeff Broadway, David Allen Barber, William Lancaster and Don Barber will serve as pallbearers. William Beacham Henry Wallace and Burnice Tyson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort Co. on August 8, 1941 to the late Edgar Woolard and Alma Keech. On November 9, 1960 he married Margie Moore who survives. Mr. Woolard was employed in the maintenance department with National Spinning and retired in 2005 with 42 years of service. He was a loving father and grandfather and was willing to help others in their time of need.
Survivors include his wife Margie of the home, one son, David Woolard and his wife Jeanne of Washington; two grandchildren, Kristin and DJ Woolard of Washington and one Aunt, Anne Usry of Washington. He was also preceded in death by: one sister, Shelby Waters.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home, 1669 Slatestone Rd., Washington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kristin and DJ Woolard Educational Fund, C/O Margie Woolard, 1669 Slatestone Rd., Washington, NC 27889.
