Mrs. Deborah Bryant Sherrod-Hill of 406 E. Main St., Washington, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in St. John Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Rickie Battle officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Sherrod-Hill was born April 21, 1963, the daughter of Clarice Bryant and the late John Fair. She graduated from Washington High School, where she was on the track team, and attended Beaufort County Community College. She worked several jobs including Hamilton Beach, as an NA with Tar Heel Home Health and 15 years at National Spinning. She was married to Johnny Sherrod-Hill, who survives. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in various committees.
Survivors include one daughter, Keria Tucker of the home; three sons, Jermaine, Antwan and Shawn Bryant of the home; four sisters, Pamela Bryant of Washington, Kathy Brown and Stacey Keech, both of Greenville, and Porchia Tripp of Chocowinity; three brothers, Melvin Tripp Jr. and Maurice Tripp, both of Greensboro, and Dwayne Tripp of Brooklyn, N.Y., and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 1-6 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, and other times at the home.
