Mrs. Lucy Mae Tripp Lilley, age 78, died Wednesday morning, March 19, 2008 at Beaufort County Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday March 21, 2008 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Ken Cash.
Mrs. Lilley was born in Pitt County on June 6, 1929, daughter of late Marion Francis Tripp and Allie Mae Manning Tripp. She married William Simon Lilley who preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Lilley retired from Bonnie Products in 1998. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Washington and was a five-year cancer survivor.
She is survived by her children: Brenda L. Whitehurst of Stokes; Catherine L. Wynne of Stokes and her late husband, William Ralph Wynne, Jr.; Dennis E. Lilley and his wife, Sherry of Washington; and Thomas W. Lilley and his wife, Vicky of Bethel; her sisters: Alma Marie Bowen of New Smyrna, FL and Mildred Dickerson of Chesapeake, VA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Billy Lilley; her grandson, Clay Reid Lilley; three sisters and one brother.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington.
