Mr. Homer King, 73, of 1341 Paradise Road, Edenton, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Britthaven Nursing Home in Edenton.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Oris Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Rouson family cemetery in Roper.
Mr. King was born in Russell County on Sept. 26, 1934. He was the son of the late Mattie Bridges and Ramsey King. He served in the Army. He was married to Fannie Bell King, who survives. He had been employed as a truck driver.
Survivors include three sons, Perry Lueas of Texas, Wilfred Hill of Rhode Island and Brin Monroe of Illinois; two brothers, Charlie King of New Jersey and Robert King of Georgia; two sisters, Fannie Livingston of New York and Ann Hickey of Georgia and seven grandchildren.
