Mr. Jesse Elbert Biggs Sr. died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A graveside service with Masonic rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Cox officiating.
Mr. Biggs was born in Chowan County on Aug. 29, 1926. He was the son of the late Julis and Vena Twiddy Biggs. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Masons.
Survivors include one son, Jesse Elbert Biggs Jr. of Windsor; and two half sisters, Norma Tadlock of Elizabeth City and Elizabeth Brower of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a half sister, Antha Smith and a half brother, James W. Brite.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home.
