Mr. Reginald Parker Peele, 80, of 302 E. Simmons Ave., Williamston, died Sunday, March 23, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Biggs Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Peele was the son of the late Herbert Daniel Peele and Emma Sexton Peele. He served in the Marine Corps in China during World War II. In 1948, he married Martha Mendenhall Peele, who survives. He retired from Virginia Electric Power Co. with more than 35 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Williamston, where he served as deacon, treasurer, Sunday school teacher and clerk of the session.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert Edwin Peele of Williamston and Kimball Taylor Peele of Round Hill, Va., and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Herbert O. Peele, Robert Edwin Peele, Charles A. Peele and Mildred Quincer.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home.
