Mr. John Dudley Oxendine Jr. of 305 Horseshoe Drive, Greenville, and formerly of 21 Yonkers Drive, Washington, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
Mr. Oxendine was born in Washington, D.C., on June 4, 1954. He was the son of Minnie Bryant Oxendine of Charlotte and the late John Dudley Oxendine Sr. He attended Prospect High School. He served in the Army as an executive cook.
Survivors include five sisters, Glenda Bullard of Maxton, and Linda Maynor, Lillie Locklear, Sharon Jones and Sarah Chavis, all of Pembroke; and one brother, Louie Oxendine of Maxton.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. to the funeral hour at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
