Mrs. Eliza Annie Vick Silverthorne, age 89, of 1660 W. Fifth St., Lot 14, Washington, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be officiated Captain Kenny Griffin.
Mrs. Silverthorne was born in Pitt County on October 2, 1918, to the late Jim and Sudie Campbell Vick. She married Dave A. Silverthorne, who preceded her in death on August 7, 1975. She was employed by Hamilton Beach, Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. She was member of the Salvation Army Church and a member of the Home League of the Salvation Army where she received a membership pin for 35 years of service.
Survivors include one son, David Silverthorne and his wife, Polly, of Chocowinity; two daughters, Faye Bryant and husband, Andrew, of Greenville and Sudie Cox and husband, Roland, of Washington; one brother, Norris Vick of Elgin, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by four brothers.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008, at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home, 1660 W. Fifth St., Lot 14, Washington.
