Mrs. Magnolia Mizelle Evans, 85, of 331 N.C. Highway 45 North, Merry Hill, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at Bertie Memorial Hospital.
Gravside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Capeharts Baptist Church with the Rev. Jake Dunlow officiating.
Mrs. Evans was born Oct. 28, 1922 in Bertie County, daughter of the late Rewie and Lo Annie Jernigan Mizelle. She was a homemaker and a member of Capeharts Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brinkley Evans.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Evans Baker of Windsor; one son, Charles Evans of Merry Hill; one sister, Edith Fuller of Boone; one brother, Finley Mizelle of Windsor; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Charles and Lynn Evans, 327 N.C. Highway 45 North, Merry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Capeharts Baptist Church Building Fund, c.o. Dennis Brooks, 1738 U.S. Highway 17, Merry Hill, NC 27957.
