Alfred C. “Bud” Roth, III, age 77, died April 25, 2008, in Flat Rock, N.C. from cancer.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was a Korean War Navy veteran aboard the USS Essex and received numerous campaign medals.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 51 years, Mary Ann; a daughter, Arlene and husband Raul Contreras of Grand Junction, Colo.; a son, Brian Roth and wife Mary Ann of Plymouth, N.C.; a brother, Robert Roth, and wife Lucy of Connecticut; five grandsons; and one great-granddaughter; a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the church.
Forest Lawn Mortuary of Hendersonville is assisting the family with arrangements.
