Mrs. Victoria Elizabeth Hill Owens, 95, of 1084 U.S. Highway 64 East, Plymouth, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Plumblee Nursing Center in Plymouth.
A funeral was conducted May 3, 2008, in Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Columbia, with the Rev. James H. Rodgers officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Owens was born in Tyrrell County on Sept. 1, 1912. She was the daughter of the late Mary M. Alexander and Nathan Hill. She had been employed as a teacher.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Shelton of Philadelphia, Pa., Myrtle Haywood of Raleigh, and Joyce Pettis of Huntsville, Ala.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
