Cottie Mae Spain Woolard

Cottie Mae Spain Woolard, 88, a lifelong resident of Belhaven and more recently of 3096 Terrapin Track Road, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Pungo District Hospital, Belhaven.
Ms. Woolard was born October 9, 1919 in Beaufort County and was the daughter of the late Dallas Richard and Mary Alice Bullock Spain. A homemaker, she was a faithful member of First Assembly of God of Belhaven where she was active in various church functions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Gray Woolard; a son, Manuel G. Woolard; sisters, Lydia Dixon, Grace and Stella Woolard; brothers, Dallas Jr., Alfred, Dan, Richard, Elton and Burl Spain.
Surviving are four daughters, Della Salter and husband Preston of Arapahoe, Lillian Sawyer and husband Walter of Pantego, Rita Nash and Brenda Wallace, both of Washington; two sisters, Virginia Warren and Audrey Goff; two brothers, Devon and Roger Spain; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Assembly of God of Belhaven by Pastors Phillip Jethro and Allen Harmon. Burial will follow in Belhaven Community Cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the church, 765 Hwy 264 East Bypass, Belhaven.
Floral tributes are welcome and will be received at the church beginning at 3 p.m. Friday.
