WAKE FOREST — Louise Mayo Stokes, 82, died Thursday, May 29, 2008. She was born in Hyde County to the late Ervin Mayo and Mary Ann Flowers Mayo and was preceded in death by a son, William Earl Clifton.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held 11 o’clock Saturday morning, June 7, 2008 at the Grifton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Loy officiating.
Mrs. Stokes is survived by her daughter, Ann Tyndall of Wake Forest; sister, Evelyn Freeman of Rocky Mt.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Grifton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 416, Grifton, NC 28530.
