Mrs. Marguerite “Jackie” Mayo Bracy, 85, of Washington, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Paul Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Lee Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Bracy was born in the Campbell’s Creek community of Aurora, on June 12, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Francis Marion Mayo and Lula Powers Mayo. She was married to Kenneth Frederick Bracy, who preceded her in death June 27, 1988. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Washington.
Survivors include one sister, Nona Mayo Newberry of the Terra Ceia community of Pantego.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Brantley and Ruby Brantley and four brothers, George Mayo, Taylor Mayo, J.F. Mayo and John Mayo.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
