Ms. Helena E. Jones Sutton, 66, of 700 Shelbrook Drive, Winterville, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Wake Medical Center.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Anna Missionary Baptist Church, Blounts Creek. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Free Will Baptist Church cemetery, Aurora.
Ms. Sutton was born in Beaufort County. She was a member of Jones Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Aurora, where she served as a minister, Sunday school teacher, women’s home mission and youth choir director.
Survivors include five daughters, Evangeline Gibbs of Edward, Faye Griffin of Greenville, Serisa Moore of Grimesland, Selisa Williams of Charlottesville, Va., and Rononia Sutton of Grifton; two brothers, Jayhue Jones and Christopher Jones, both of Aurora; one sister, Mamie Ruth Barnes of Washington; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
