Mrs. Peggy Lou Keys Moore, 61, of 23 Gage Lane, Washington, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday in Refuge Tower Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, East Fifth Street, Washington, with Bishop Carlton Keyes officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Moore was born in Beaufort County on March 6, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Maggie Lean Moore Keys and Simon Keys Sr. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She was married to Robert Henry Moore, who preceded her in death March 6, 1983. She worked in the dietary department at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington. She was a member of Mary Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Washington.
Survivors include three daughters, Teressa Daniels, Lenora Langley and Rowena Keys, all of Washington; four sons, Tyrone Moore and James Moore, both of Washington, David Keys of Baltimore, Md., and Kelvin Keys of Washington; one brother, Graddy Keys of Washington; four sisters, Hattie Daniels of Chocowinity and Rowena K. Cole, Phillis Boone and Emma Best, all of Washington; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Keys, John Keys and Simon Keys Jr.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Tyrone Moore, 3859 River Road, Washington, and her sister, Rowena K. Cole, 23 Gage Lane, Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
