Mr. Troy Lester Tripp

Mr. Troy Lester Tripp, age 75, a resident of 3958 River Road, Washington, died Monday June 9, 2008 at Britthaven of Washington.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday June 12, 2008 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington officiated by Reggie Braziel. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Tripp was born in Pitt County on July 27, 1932, son of the late Troy Lee Tripp and Rosa Clara Hodges Tripp. He served his country in the US Army. On June 30, 1956, he married the former Mary Jane Sutton who survives. Mr. Tripp retired in 1995 from National Spinning where he was employed as a mechanic for 41 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15, lifetime member of D.A.V. and past member of the Moose Lodge in Washington.
In addition to his wife, Mary Jane, of the home, he is survived by his daughter: Belinda Weinbrecht and her husband, Harold of Cary and two granddaughters: Audrey and Cara Weinbrecht of Cary; his brother: William F. Tripp and his wife, Betty of Panama City, FL and his sister: Patricia Jones and her husband, Reynold of Trenton. He is preceded in death by his brother: Robert N. Tripp and his sister: Inez Holton.
The family will receive friends at Paul Funeral Home on Thursday 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
