Mrs. Ella Mobley Jones, 89, of 1291 Maurice Brown Road, Jamesville, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Stokes and the Rev. Dr. Wayne Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born in Martin County on Sept. 13, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Mozella Modlin Mobley. On Oct. 20, 1945, she married Warren Jones, who preceded her in death April 28, 1990. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Jones Davis of Pantego; two sons, Leslie Jones of Merry Hill, and Carroll Jones of Jamesville; two sisters, Betty Lilley and Deslea Modlin, both of Jamesville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
