LUMBERTON — Mr. Jasper Edge, Jr., 90, of Ruth Road, Lumberton, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Washington, N.C.
Memorial services will be Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Regan United Methodist Church in Lumberton with Revs. Alan Gibson and Ann Benson officiating. Burial will be private.
Mr. Edge was a lifelong farmer.
Mr. Edge was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Edge, Sr. and Lela Rozier Edge and one son, David R. Edge.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Scott Edge; one son, William J. Edge; two daughters, Dinah Lynn Everett and Shirley R. Townsend and husband, William; one brother, Norris Edge and wife, Sue; one sister, Nellie Heavenridge; two grandsons, William C. Townsend and wife, Kristy and Ben H. Townsend; and one great-granddaughter, Karys.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
